Animal care

Before keeping animals

Describe needs and arrange backup before buying.

A living commitment every day

Before choosing a species, describe your actual availability, the people who can provide cover and the housing conditions. An animal is not an automatic solution to waste or an unmaintained plot.

List what needs checking

Identify the needs of the species, access to a competent professional, local rules and recurring costs. Consult official sources and a qualified person on health matters. Permah helps organise questions; it does not provide veterinary diagnoses.

Plan for your absence

Who can step in, with what access and instructions? Test backup arrangements before making a lasting commitment. The journal can hold practical information and observations without replacing professional care.

Your first step

Visit a suitable place with its owners’ agreement. Prepare three questions on daily care, unexpected problems and continuity of care.
