Collective housing

Collective housing begins with shared questions

Clarify expectations before discussing a plot or a plan.

Make room for differences

Sharing a place does not mean having identical needs. Each person can name what they seek, what should remain private and what they can contribute. Identify disagreements early enough to discuss them.

Separate human arrangements from property structures

Group organisation, decisions, funding and legal structure are connected but distinct topics. Legal and financial matters require checks with competent professionals. Getting on well does not replace an appropriate written agreement.

Visit with a question

Ask about everyday operations: who maintains things, how decisions change and how people arrive or leave. Get permission before reusing photographs or personal accounts.

Keep the next decision limited

Choose a concrete task: organise a meeting, list expectations or meet an adviser. Name the responsible person and available resources. The Permah journal can record this progress.
