AN EXPERIMENT THAT FITS
Fourteen suggestions, not fourteen obligations. Each step may take several days. Progress stays on this page unless you choose to keep it on this device.
Record a recurring difficulty, its timing and what precedes it.
Identify a person, place or habit that already helps.
Write down a constraint you cannot change alone.
Choose one situation you can realistically influence.
Explain your idea to the people involved and listen to concerns.
Write what your change might improve and how to observe it.
Try your change with a clear end date.
Notice who anticipates, prepares and reminds people around the trial.
Prepare a specific request that leaves room for refusal.
Move or simplify an existing element without needing a purchase.
Identify possible support and check availability without assuming it.
Ask people involved what helps and what gets in the way.
Revisit your initial observation and record the change’s costs too.
Decide what comes next and write one thing you learned about the situation.
Your pace matters more than the calendar. You can stop or go back.
